The Hazard Perception Test.
The hazard perception part is a computer based test to assess how well you can recognise and respond to hazards on the road. The test consists of 14 video clips, each lasting about one minute. The clips feature various types of hazards. The earlier the developing hazard is seen, & a response made, the higher the score. The pass mark for the hazard perception test for car drivers is 44 out of 75.

Practical Driving Test
This tests your ability to drive without instruction, to drive safelt and in accordance with the Highway Code.

Before your test begins your examiner will ask you to read a number plate at a set distance, 20.5 metres. If you fail to do this then the test will go no further and you will have failed the test. You will then be asked 2 questions on carrying out car safety checks before you show the examiner how well you can drive. This will include at least 2 maneuvers.

You will fail your driving test if you commit one serious driving error during your test or commit sixteen minor driving errors.
